‘THE NOW’
My personal experiences and revelations of the now I translated into a visual medium. It goes without saying that this will always remain just my own interpretation of such abstract concepts, my view on ‘the now’ is not that of others. It might well ring true with others but is not a given fact, neither the perception of others nor their way of approaching ‘the now’. It is a gift to myself and view on someone as an illustrative artist and individual. The moment is always there and always will be. According to Eckhart Tolle, the eternal now is without end. The impulse and the enormous fascination with this time have ensued from my learning process over the last few years. What then is actual time? This is the key question of my investigation. How do I portray actual time?
By means of a major theoretical study, in combination with an extensive visual analysis I have produced a series of graphic, illustrative and photographic images, objects and a installation which are my interpretation of actual time.
