T R I B E

A new name and a new side project from my most important and recent portrait series established since 2018, HIDDEN PROFILES.

Within the next months a new series of women will appear on my website and Instagram. ‘Tribe’ is born after I realized we are more then an individual, we are a tribe, a tribe which us connects: Our authenticity and empowerment versus inner struggles.

Each portrait is connected to a project were either the model of the painting is living or connected to her own artistic company. I feel the duty to support and help, with my art. 15% will be donated from the proceeds after selling.

Acrylic paint on canvas.

Fatima is living in the village of Ijjoukak in the Atlas of Morocco. She is one of the oldest members of the community. This village was severely hit by the earthquake, in September.

I felt the duty to help my friend Mette Sophie van der Hoek and her team who are having a beautiful collaboration with the women in this village: The Moroccan Textile Collection. This painting is inspired by the picture made by the photographers Evy van Nispen and Rosa Meiniger.

The artwork is for sale and part of the proceeds will be donated to support the community in the village of Ijjoukak. Fatima
